well in about a week or 2 i plan on dropping the maverick 4 inches front and back and adding traction bars to go along with the drop. will have pics of before and after.

Be careful when you drop the rear.Check your pinion angle at ride height before you drop, that way you can restore proper angle after the drop.If not you may get some bad vibrations from the drive line.(Traction bars will eventually kill your leafsprings too)

4 inch drop is probably way too much.

Also depend on what size rims & tires combo you are going to run. I have a 3 inch drop in the rear but have 18 rims.

Traction bars are well worth the spring fatigue you get over time.Beats wrapping up the springs every time you get on it and making them fail sooner than they will with the bars. They do look tough though dont they?

I think CalTracs look better, and more professional on any car...

Any bo-hunk can slap $15 slapper bars on, it takes a really stupid and wealthy bo-hunk to slap $350 CalTracs on:thumbs2:

j/k...the CalTracs really DO work well for the price...:D

I would go to cal tracs but the last time I ran my mav it was doing 1.670 60 foot times with the cheapie bars.I have to mention that I did lengthen them 1 3/4" of an inch to get the snubber under the spring eye where it belongs.Too many people forget that part when they put on the cheapies. The snubber has to be under the spring eye.:thumbs2:
