Sure will. You need one with the shorter tailshaft like from a early Mustang. A top loader or BourgWarner T10 will work great. Be carefull when looking for toploaders. Around 77 or so Ford made an 3 spd with overdrive transmission and stuffed it in a toploader case. I have seen people advertise them as a toploader 4 spd. I believe they have 4 mounting bosses in the shifter area and start with D7 in the number cast into the case.
