67 Mustang gas cap

    I'm looking at a parts catalog and see a 67 GT Twist On Gas Cap.
    Anyone know if this will fit my 74 Mercury Comet? :confused:

    I have a 67 Mustang and I tried the gas cap on my 72 Comet. It will work but the slots are offset differently and the horse sets off center to the left. I thought I might try a Mustang GT cap on mine but gave up on that idea.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    I'm pretty certain it will fit. I bought a 71 Mav one time that had a 66 Stang cap on it and it fit perfectly. Of course I didn't leave it on there with it having the horse and everything.
