Great job!! These Mustang floor pans would make a great tech article for us. Make sure you take plenty of pics thru the entire process! (y)

Yeah i really searched the forum to find information on installing these mustang floor pans but did not come up with much. But let me get the front pan welded in and the rear one and i will do a full write up with plenty of picture and details. Thanks for all the input do far. My cousin just gave me a body rotisserie, so soon it will be putt on that.

Well i got a little more done today its hard to get motivated when the weather is nasty. I decided to cut a little more of the floor out. I coated the rest of the inside of the frame. Here is a couple photos for the day.

Looking good, what are you putting on there after all that work to keep it from rusting?
I hear ya on the nasty weather, I put the gas tank in my Grabber during a Tropical Storm laying in the mud and rain...but those days are soon to be over, more on this coming up!!

Well the inside of the torque box will have undercoating, but the top side were the floor pan sits i shot with weld through primer. I guess i should have asked what is best there but i am not that far into to go back. Any body have any opinions on this it would be greatly appreciated.

I used Rust Bullet inside my frame rails and I will also use it inside my torque boxes. I figure it is extra insurance in areas that should never see the light of day again. Eastwood also sells rust encapsulator in a spray can that comes with a hose that hooks to the nozzle and can be used to inject the stuff right onto frame rail holes. :yup:

With the weld through primer, I used spray cans from Eastwood. I don't know if there is better out there or not but these seemed to work. :)

But on the top of the torque box where the floor pan goes up if i coat the back side of the floor and the topside of the torque box with weld through primer do you think i will be ok. I would rust bullet it but i dont know if you can weld on that correct. But i do like the idea of using that in the torque boxes and in the frame rails.
    Thanks Nate
