71 Grabber tail panel

    What is the correct tail panel color combination for a 71 Grabber? Should it match the side stripes? Are the taillight bezels ever blacked out?

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Depends on what color the car is and what color the side stripes are.

    Hmmm...got me on that one.
    I would certainly guess silver tail panel. The tail light bezels were blacked out only if the tail panel was black.

    I thought about Ralphs car when this popped up. I guess it's possible but it just seems like way too much black. However it wouldn't look much different than Ralphs if it were all black.

    Black is good. Are the taillight bezels always blacked out on 71 Grabbers? Is the stripe technically argent outside stripes with a reflective silver inside stripe and argent hood stripes? I looked at it but against the black, I couldn't tell if the outside stripe(and Grabber word) is white or argent. And the hood stripes will be painted on?
    Thanks for the pictures, that is a sharp car.

    Hood Stripe is painted. Light bezels are Black only if the panel is black. The pinstripes look white on Ralph's car ... perhaps he will chime in ... Here's a BIG picture ...
