71 maverick clutch

    71 maverick grabber/69 1/2 maverick
    Well I have started the tear down on my grabber, and it looks like I need to replace the clutch. What would be a good clutch to put in here. I don't want to do any drag racing, but I do drive it like a maverick!! It has the factory 302 and a 3 speed on the floor. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    I'm running a CenterForce clutch and pressure plate. They are expensive but I believe one of the best on the market. They are still easy to depress and will hold up to anything, and I do some occasional drag racing.

    more clamping force and much easier on your left knee.


    I had a Hayes Street Strip clutch in my first Comet. That beast took twice the leg as the clutch in the stepvan I drove for work at the time. It was fun letting someone else drive it and watch their left leg start to shake while trying to hold it in at a light .... complete overkill ... :p
