Hi, I just bought my project car. It is a 1971 Maverick Grabber with a 200 engine and 3 speed manual transmission. I had it running a few times but my brother and I can't get it to run right. It is in need of a carb rebuild. I am thinking that I am going to keep the 200 but do a few mods to it. I have been reading up on this web sight http://www.classicinlines.com/LogMods.asp#2VC. I am just not sure what carb to use with it.

    Later, Joel

I got a few parts that I ordered for my car. I got the power steering gear box, V8 trans mount, and the disc brake perportining valve.

    Hello from Winchester! :Handshake

Good luck on the project, looks like for the most part a fairly solid maverick

welcome Joel:tiphat: I recomend a 1904 model Holley carb.I also have a Ford 200 six cyl. The 1100 Autolite carb is good but the accelerator pump housing bends and leaks. I have tried the carter RBS it runs good but the rebuild kit, accelerator pump, rubber didnt work. :16suspect kit problem there man! The holley 1904 is awsome in acceleration and idle ,but watch for bent fuel bowl ears, that makes the bowl gasket leak. Yes there is a glass bowl 1904 model. If you just got to run a carb, I can tell you more. Send me a private message.:chirp:
