Just bought some new headers from Hooker headers, and after taking the completely trashed previous headers, i realize that the shock towers are too close to my 351w to install my headers. is it safe to cut away some areas of the tower in order to install or will it be too risky..
    thanks, Jake.

Sure, as long as you reinforce them. Although I'm not sure what heads you have, here is what was done to mine...................and you will need to do this with motor out of the car.

Alright, that's what I thought. Just wanted to be sure. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the engine out. If my camera isn't messing up I'll have some clear photos to post.

I did it with my engine in, while I was doing a head swap. I noticed that with the heads off, I had plenty of room, so i cut away before adding my new heads.

Would have been easier with engine out.
