Went to tuck rear bumper on 73 Comet. Got correct bumper mount. Got correct quarter trim that mounts under bumper. This leaves me with a few pre drilled holes from edge of lower valance and quarter panel. From what I find the lower valance from 72 or earlier is needed. Here comes the confusion. Some post say 70-73 same. Then after market repops go from 70-77 as same. Will a valance from 70-72 cover these predrilled holes and if so is there any repops that can be trusted to be correct?

There is a 1970-1972 rear valence, and a 1973 rear valence. You can use either. They are exactly the same except for where the flange screws are located along the top mounting flange.

Not sure what other holes you are talking about.

The lower 3 holes in quarter need plugged. I bought some plastic trim plugs and painted them body color. I didn't change valance.
