74 Comet Paint Question-Factory Colors?

    Sold my 1974 Comet - Looking super nice 73 Maverick near Memphis
    Was the front shield between the body and the bumper below the grill orig. factory issue as silver or argent silver? Was the back shield between the rear and rear bumper painted the color of the car? I can't find a picture to be sure, I want to use the factory look when I repaint.

    Front is some type of silver (not sure).

    Back is body color.

    I had a red 74 Comet, and the front on was the same red as the car, along with the back.

    Every crash bumper car I've had has been argent in front/body color in rear.

    I've seen both the body color and silver on the front. It seems as if more Comets had body color fillers than Mavericks. I'm not sure if this was a plant thing or what.
    Every rear filler I've seen is the body color.
