Guys looking for some clarification. I have a 74 grabber, orange stripes and paint on white. I'm getting ready to replace the rear quarters, sand and paint the whole car. The problem is, I talked to Phoenix Graphics today about stripes, and the stripe kit they list for a 74 grabber doesn't look much like what I have (which I know to be a true grabber). Phoenix lists the same kit for 74/75. Below is a photo Phoenix lists for the stripe kit. Below is a photo of my car as it sits right now, from the factory, as pictured in the 1974 maverick sales brochure and many other places. You can tell they are different schemes. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a correct stripe kit? I hate to sound like a whiner, but I want to make this car correct. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
You have pictured the 1973 kit. Maybe you looked at the wrong picture...or their website is jacked up? They should be able to get you the correct kit. I would suggest Graphic Express...as they are a LICENSED FORD MOTOR COMPANY STRIPE AND DECAL MANUFACTURER. http://www.graphic-express.com/ They list the correct kit for a 1974/1975 Grabber. Keep in mind, the stipe kit is pretty small. Most of the striping is paint on your car.
Now that I look, I see this is the same as the 73, but it's what they list for 74/75 also, see attached url. I'll check out Graphic Express, thanks! http://www.phoenixgraphics.com/ford/7475mgbr.htm
