Hi, my name is Don. I am new to the Maverick owners. I have always like them and now finally get to own one. I pick the car up from a posting on craigslist. I was able to drive it home because we had a break in the winter weather on New Years eve. The motor had been rebuilt but the paint was bad and the front seat where a bit beat up. We went through and made a list of changes and parts I need. I got the money for my parts by selling my tunner. My parts came yesterday and today from summit($1300 worth). I will have pics up soon. I cant wait until spring. We are going on the Power Tour and going up to the Frankenmuth auto fest.

You are also in luck. The Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI) will be holding their 18th Annual Roundup Nationals in Dearborn, Michigan next July 20-24. You will see lots and lots of Mavericks and Comets. You will have to plan and attend. More details can be found at www.MaverickCometClub.org

Thanks every one and I like your comment Recrdholdr, very true. haha. and i bought the car in Charlotte MI, he said it was from Virginia. He didnt think it was a true Grabber because it was a six cyl and had drum breaks. I check the door tag and vin and its an original Grabber.

I should be pulling the motor out soon. Going to change the color to the dark Ford blue. Also got some parts to switch out. Valve covers, air cleaner, ignition kit, electric fan, new Auto Meter gauges, shifter, and some other things.
