    Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew the codes for limited slip 8 inch rearends. I would like to keep the 3.00:1 ratio, but 3.55:1 is okay too. I know these come in Mustangs and assorted other cars, but what years exactly and what codes am I looking for? Thanks a lot for any information.

Here are the codes for the Mustangs:
    Ratio 3.00 65-67=1A, 68=5E, 69=6O, 73=6O.
    Ratio 3.08 69=7U.
    Ratio 3.20 65-67=3C, 68=6F.
    Ratio 3.25 65-69=4D, 68=7G, 69-73=9R.
    Ratio 3.50 65-67=5E, 68=8H, 69-73=AS.
These are all believed to be 8". Many of these ratios will also be found in the larger cars.

I found a 3.55 gear 8 inch pumpkin under a Mustang II with the v6 engine. I don't remember the year though.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the more information. Knowing the codes for both Mustangs and Mustang IIs will increase my chances of getting one. Thanks everyone.
