8" rear axle

    I am wondering if anyone can give any info on where I could get a 8" 5 lug rear axle that fits a 70 mav?

    8 inch Rearend

    I have one for sale. I'm asking 50 dollars, the only problem is that I'm in Rhode Island and shipping would be exspensive.
    It came out of a 67 mustang I'm not sure if it was the original. Previous owner said it had 3.73's in it but I find that hard too believe because I haven't seen gears that size made for an 8 inch. But it will bolt right into a Mav.

    I'm in Williamsburg Va. Dont know how much longer I will be in the area tho.....I'm in the military.

    ive also got a 8in 5 lug rear out of a 67 stang its much wider than 8in maverick or comet by about an inch or so i guess it might work but tire rubing fender wells maybe a problem.i wanted $50 for mine also.im in wva close to winchester va.

    Killer, is the brake system complete? If so I'll see if I can talk my friend into doing a roadtrip.

    Yes its got the drums on it and im sure its got pads and hardware inside the drums .one stud is broken and the e-brake cabels have been cut insted of un cliping them from the chasie i had to cut them the mustang was on top of another car making it hard to get to the clips.not sure of the ratio of the gears and the third meber nuts are gone no biggie there just comon like 1/4 in nuts.e-mail me at onefastdiesel@aol.com for details. thanks
