Yes, Doing a Grabber clone in some shade of Blue (like a silvery blue) with white stripes and blue and white interior. Swapping to a mildly built 302, front disc brakes, maybe power, and I might put a/c in it. Hope to have it completed by new years 2015. Wow, that sounds like a long time! The car is at my son's house in Ga. I won't be bringing back here until January, so I'm planning on 2 years.

Silvery blue? Take a look at 1985 oldsmobile code 22. That's what I had on my 75 maverick. Loved it and got alot of compliments.

The car is still at myson's house in Ga. but we skyped today and I got to see more detail. The passenger side fender is junk. There is rust in the right quarter. The rest looks good. I asked him if the floor was wet and he said no. Its been raining a couple days so thats good news aboutthe cowl. There are some extra parts in the trunk, 5 tailights, gas caps and several side markers. I tried talking him thru starting it but it seems the starter is frozen. Motor turns free. It doesnt matter cause its coming out and going in my convertible after a rebuild. I have a trip planned in less than 2 weeks to go get it! I can post lots of pics when I get bacl.

Got the car home Sunday, not real happy with it. Its riddled with rust......everywhere. The last 40 years have not been too kind to this old ride. I know a lot of you would say part it out and let it go. I could certainly recoup my money doing that, in fact, it was my plan if it turned out to be junk. However, Im stubborn and love a challange. I have no budget, it costs what it costs and it takes as long as it will take. Im the type that buys a car and keeps it forever, so its not like I wil try to get my money back out of it someday, most of us dont anyway. So the plan is to move forward and tear this thing down. I will take it one part at a time and bring this car back to life. The weather here sucks, I will post pics when it clears up.

    First Pics

The worst is the driver rear quarter. Clearly this car has been wrecked several times. I dont think there is any damage that cant be repaired. One thing I need help with... The back seats, something is wrong and Im not sure if its the rear seat back or the rear panels. The front seat and rear seat back all match, the rear seat bottom is different but might be original. Maybe later year seats?
