I was salvage yarding today and found a '77 that was virtually complete. I just happened to have a COMPLETE A/C system in it. As I haven't seen an A/C system in the salvage yards for a couple of years, I bought the whole system...all nuts, bolts, vacuum lines and brackets. Just for good measure I grabbed the 3 core radiator as well.

    Total cost? $185.00

Now for the fun part. Putting it into the '70. Do any of you on the board know of a source for a later model compressor that I can retrofit to this system? I would rather use the lighter, more efficient compressor is possible.

I have to thank Charlie for the vacumm diagram up on his site. This will make reinstalling the unit much easier.

    Thanks in advance.

BTW, tomorrow, I am going back for the disc brakes, proportioning valve and pedal assembly and larger sway bar.
