    Hello guys and gals,

My "new" 77 Mav is leaking water into the interior when I run the a/c. I looked at what was going on and saw that the "drain tube" is not ported to the outside. but just hanging down. I pulled a bit of the carpet back and do not see a factory drain area.
My initial thought is to bore a hole through the firewall and shove the "drain tube" thru it.
Have any of you folks had this issue and, what did you do?

    Thanks,

    Matt

P.S. When I get to 50 posts I'll put some pics up (unless you can tell me a way around this...)

Mine goes out the floor, just on the right side of the tranny tunnel, pretty close to the firewall.

If it is a factory air system, there is a drain hole as Dave described. A lot of times the box drain gets clogged with crap. You can remove the hose and use a shop vac and wire to clean it out.

Mavaholic and Dave Boyer - Thanks for the info! Found the drain hole right where you'd said it would be. Now I can run the ac without a "modified" drain system (Mountain Dew bottle stuck into the drain hose!) The temps in Richmond have been miserable the last 3 weeks. A/C has been mandatory...
