Well I got around to fixin' the A/C finally, but as usual something went wrong. I cranked down on my evaporater only to find out that my threads were crossed on my condenser and the evaporater wouldn't go past a certain point. So does anyone have a spare A/C condenser or know of a newer model which can be substituted for the off-the-market condenser?
Bought one on ebay. Threads matched up but you will need to fab bracketry. I used aluminum flat stock and a piece of 5/8 channel to make up the difference to mount the drier. Got it at ACE hardware. This is a parallel flow coil as opposed to the OEM serial style. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161317146682?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
stock lines bolted right up. Had to bend them a little to make everything fit real good. The old one with the steel frame is slightly thicker than the new by 5/8 so I used channel to make up the difference to mount the drier
