It seems like it's been FOREVER.. but our mav is almost ready to be painted, but we do have a few questions first.,
We have a friend who works for PPG and as a gift to my daughter ( the cars owner) he will supply the paint. Right now the car is orange and we are going to paint it orange again, just a brighter orange, can anyone tell us how much paint we will need also how much hardner, clear coat or anything else we will need??
Also where can we get some fender clips and where can we get some new rubber seal for the trunk?
    Any help will be GREAT!!!!
    PICS comming real soon.....Thank's Mike(y)

I bought PPG bright yellow gold poly metallic for my 72..original color...1 gal paint, 1 gal reducer mix is 1 to 1, 1 qt hardener, 1 gal clearcoat and 1 gal reducer.
the left over can be used for accessories, touch ups etc.(y)

Base coat is mixed 50/50. If you buy 1 gal, you will end up with 2. I usually get 3 quarts and still have way more left over for touch up. But if its free, take the gallon. 1 Gallon of clear coat is plenty for these cars. Also get a small can of fish eye reducer. never hurts to use the stuff.
