Just finished setting up a new ring and pinion for the car, swapping out the 4.56 for a 4.00. Also going to a 28" tall tire so it should drop my cruising rpm at 60 mph from 3900 to 3200 rpm's. Only my second gear setup, it gets easier each time!!(y)

    Stephen,

It will probably slow me down a little on the motor and then the car will probably pick up some on the spray since this gear will be easier on the tires and will decrease spinning.

Thats great to hear, at least you won't have to go through one or two to find a good one like some of us have

I was thinkin even off the spray it probably wouldn't hurt your time if at all with the taller tire.
But thinkin is a dangerous proposition for me:eek:

Hopefully you will say the same thing in 7 years.

Good to hear from you. Are you going to Charlotte in April?
I said I'd never go back-too crowded. Who knows.

    Looks good Stephen.
Interesting to see the difference with the new gears and tires....I am guessing with the trans break it will not hurt the 60 ft time(might improve a little) and I am sure you will see nice gains on the big end.
