Well, I finally got a few things for the mav. The very crucial parts to an engine.... the fuel system. Aeromotive all the way.Man, -10 is huge!! Now I just have to get some aftermarket M2 arms and some braided line. Start my new job in 2 weeks at Mrs Bairds doing what I went to college for which is maintenance. Life is looking good
Congrats on finishing school Still loving those rims you sold me Polished up real nice like. I bet it feels good to get back under the hood now that you have an income...
Is that the A1000 pump? Please let me know how loud that fuel pump is. A wav file of it would be great I have a Holley Blue pump that needs to go!
if they haven't changed anything in recent years, they're as loud as the rest. On my car, it doesn't matter (strip only. no wise-cracks, Frank). I can't hear myself think when I crank the car up. I can definetly hear the pump when the engine's not running though. I'm using shorts lengths of vacuum hose as "isolators" too. I'm not sure how quiet you can make one of these, but if that's what you're concerned about, I'd mount the pump to a plate using isolators and the plate to the undercarriage using isolators. I believe John (or someone else at the roundup) said that he even suspended his once and it was still loud. I suppose there's trade-offs to most everything HP related.
Thanks Rick, guess I should have listened to yours. I have my blue pump mounted with a rubber isolator, maybe I should try some dynamat. Barry Grant has the Enduro pumps which they claim are extremely quiet but they also cost $460.
Somebody at the roundup had an edlebrock electric pump and you could barely here it running. Thats what I'm going to try next.
