I did that when i was a teenager. Had a grill with lights hanging on my wall. I discovered that when I ran speaker wire from my home stereo to a string of Xmas lights that the lights would light up in tune with the music. So I hooked up some speaker wire from the stereo to the grill lights and they flashed with the music.

If you have an old 386 or 486 style computer power supply with the regular contact switch, you can use that too. One of the wires on the plugs is 5 volt and the other is 12 volt. The other two are grounds. I tape up the part that plugs into the motherboard so it doesn't short out. New power supplies won't work, they turn on the power supply through the computer's motherboard. I use one to test car radios and other 12 volt accessories on my work bench. -Scott H.

Its got a couple broken tabs, half circles that hold a screw with a washer. I was thinking $50 + shipping. But I havent looked to see if thats reasonable.
Yeah,that's whats wrong with mine too! I do have all the pieces,but nothing seems to glue them back together! Also your diecast covers look better than mine,but it's hard to tell! Mine does the looks great from the 10 feet test! Redoing the diecast parts is a whole other issue! Oh,$50 is a great deal for what I see,I just can't go there yet! Don't feel this is an attempt for a lower price,cause it's not! My grille and lights aren't that bad,and apparently the broken tabs are very common!
I only took the light apart once to replace the bulb. I do think the lens and the chrome were separate, but I am not 100%.If thats what you were asking.
