Guys I couldn't resist this one. It was just too clean. I didn't own a Comet but I do now. I had no disappointments when this one arrived. It has been very well kept. Only 45000 original miles. You can tell it's accurate by the engine bay. Car drives very well. Everything seems very tight. Body is very straight & paint shines very bright. The previous owner threw in several parts including Sport Mirrors that will be installed. I will also be putting factory slot mags with Comet Center Caps. Other than that it will stay mostly original. Does anyone know if this interior combo would be factory original with solid black interior with whiite seats? Just curious.
beauty there. looks like you got a deal. is the white interior original? i thought white was a rare interior option.
I have seen several early 70s FoMoCos with white seats over another color interior. Something they did back then I suppose. I had a chance to get a bright green 71 Torino GT with the same sort of interior. It was full black except for the seats. Beautiful white buckets... Edit: Btw... Mike = Lucky SOB!
I was watching that car as well.....great buy!!! On the interior......I have never seen white seats whith the rest of the interior in black. What is the interior code on the data sticker?
Nice looking car! What does the color code on your door say? If you get a Marti report it will state the color interior. I have never seen door panels and rear panels a different color than the seats before. My guess is one of them was switched. Great looking seats, by the way. Jim
All those Mavericks should provide plenty of parts to keep this beauty sweet for years to come. Congrats on the step up.
Very nice find!!Ford used to do that with interriors.I had a 70 mustang like that...metallic blue exterrior...black interrior with white seats/buckets.Strange though I must admit.Definitely check your data plate and see what the interrior trim package is supposed to be.
