Saw CJ Ponyparts sells adjustable motor mounts for putting 289-351W in Mustangs. Should work for our cars too. Ebay price was $180.

"We have a new set of ADJUSTABLE motor mounts from Ron Morris Performance. These are for 65-70 Mustangs and 67-70 Cougars using a small block, ie 289, 302 or 351.

These motor mounts have 3.5" of adjustment from the front to the rear and 1" side to side adjustment. These mounts use a durable poly urethane bushings to isolate engine vibrations. The mounts are zinc plated steel and all hardware is Grade 8. Instructions are included."

There was an article in Mustans and Fords about them as well.

So it looks like these would replace both the current frame stands and insulated mounts. Seems like it would be a little wide for our cars

I don't know, considering the fact that my motor is held in by '66 Mustang motor mounts. I would think they would be easy to modify or make the slots longer. My only concern would be making sure the bolts don't move in the slots.

Looks like they are using nylon locking nuts. Probably OK unless you R&I them a lot.

I hate to bump such an old thread but the adjustable motor mounts for 65+ Mustangs do not work on a Maverick, do not buy them. The four side plates have a different bolt pattern and even if you slot the holes the plates end up at an angle. Also, just as suggested above they are too wide, from mounting hole to mounting hole of the of the poly bushings it is 17 3/4" then account for the circumference of the bushing and you would have to raise them quite a bit to work or flip the poly mounts backwards but then they are really close to engine and other stuff gets wonky. A place called "Autoworks" is rumored to make Maverick specific adjustable mounts. I'll be giving them a call tomorrow but not holding my breath. Will most likely go with through bolted stock mounts if I can't find anything else.
