Hello All, I'm having to shut the doors awfully hard for them to fully close. Are there any adjustments I can mke to the latches or mechanisms to ease how hard to shut the door. They will partially catch when lighlty shut. Any suggestions are appreciated.............
usually its from the hinges saging. you can loosen the hinges where the bolt to the body and move them around to realign the door. usually it requires hinge replacement. the passenger sided door hinges are the same and usually not worn out. so if you can find a set of hinges from a passenger door they will work for the drivers door.
You can adjust the striker on the rear door jam. How do your panels line up? Is the door in farther than the rear quarter? If it all lines up correctly I wouldn't adjust it though, most likely a hinge issue.
if the hinge isn't worn just the bushing then you can get a... pin and bushing kit ...and that should get you straight... DOOR HINGE Pin Replacement 101 ......
