Anyone have any pics showing your aftermarket gauge setup? Just trying to get some ideas whether to make mine in-dash or under dash, or whatever. Thanx
Thanks guys. I noticed from your two pics that the earlier models have more room between the radio and the glove compartment compared to my '75. I have only about 2" of space there. Don't really want to hang them from the underside of the dash so I may just fab something up to place them on the trans tunnel in front of my shifter.
Here are a couple of pics of my gauges. The tach is a Sun SuperTach ll, and the gauges are AutoMeter Autogauge 2-5/8". Before you ask, the dash was a mess when I got the car, with about 10 holes drilled in it for switches to nowhere. Too hard to fix, and I did not want to weld it up and warp it. So....in went the gauges. I sort of like them. Here ya' go...
Question, i notice tl and earl have a center console. are those available somewhere for a fairly cheap price? im wanting to put one in the grabber without drilling and then put my gauges in it. mine are currently hanging off the bottom of the "glove tray" by a stock bolt that was already there.
oh well, at least now i know where to look. does it have to be bolted, or is it just a gravity hold down.
Those Granada consoles are a nice fit but are hard to find. Here is a 77 I used to own. I made a panel to cover the cubby hole and installed a Sun mini tach, water temp, and oil pressure gauge.
