Bought My 76 Ford Maverick & Its Has No AC.... Im Talking No Parts Whatsoever Except,The Inside Components I Have Some Parts Named So Far But Not All. Can Somebody Help Me Make A List To Find All The Parts I Need To Have Air Conditioning In My Vehicle. Please & Thank You Expansion Valve Heater Blower Motor Condensor Compressor Filter Dryer Evaporator Hoses Compressor Bearing Compressor Clutch Compressor Clutch Pulley Compressor Gasket Compressor Relief Valve Compressor Seal Compressor Shaft Bearing Low Side Charging Adapter System Valve Core & Cap Kit Blower Motor WHeel Heater Blend Door Heater Case Drain Hose Heater Control Valve Heater Core Heater Hose Heater Shaping Coil Inline Filter Am I Missing AnyThing Else?? Please Add On..
By inside components do you mean the under dash heater box? which houses the evaporator/ heater core/ blend doors/ blower motor... If you have that stuff and the car was originally an ac equipped car...You can pare down that list some. Also when it comes to the AC compressor, get one that allready has the clutch/pulley and relief valve assembly on it...This will pare the list down a bit more...
Go to vintage air or some the other aftermarket companies and get the whole system in kit form a lot less hassle and probably cheaper
@Old Goose do you know any vintage after market places or websites? @Mavman72 thanks, wanna make a list?
Need to know...Precisely...what you have to help you make a list. Gotta tell you though, Old goose is right. Just type in "vintageair .com" should take you to their site...Or you can try "Classic Auto air.com" They sell complete set ups also...
I've studied what both has to offer classic air looks to have the best package but I am going to have to customize mine because I am going to run a shaker hood so good luck
Hi Speechless ... Here is a link to Classic Auto Air's website ... their contact page ... Their main location is Tampa .... day trip .... http://www.classicautoair.com/about-us.html Their Mustang setup ought to be pretty close to drop in for our cars.
