I have an airgap intake but need the heater hose elbow that goes into it, right behind the t-stat housing. Anyone know of a source. Thanks!
You can use a staight one. It doesn't have to be an elbow. You can get them at any autoparts store, in the Help section.
yeah.. is just a standard 1/2 npt outlet, is all. Like stroker said.. they are available most anywhere. Personally, I prefer the elbows(usually polished aluminum or chrome) due to the low profile clean look they allow for hose routing. EDIT.. lol.. that Joe Dirt guy sure is fast with his replies. I went upstairs.. came back down and quickly replied.. and he beat me to the line.
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Chrome-90-Degree-Heater-Hose-Fitting-5-8-Inch-Hose,7216.html They also have the 3/4" barb if that's what you need. Stock heater hoses are 5/8".
I got mine at a scrap metal yard. They have a piles of motors 10 feet high just sitting on the ground. They sold it to me for $0.25. I didn't have any change so he gave it to me instead of breakling a $20.
