I have a new battery alternator and voltage regulator but no charge I don't know what to do please help
Are we talking new or rebuilt alternator? You cud have a defective part. Have u sused a voltmeter and tested the output at the battery?
I'd look for wiring issues often problems in old wiring at plugs, terminals etc... If the fuse link mentioned was bad, vehicle would be totally dead...
I seen where some electronic regulators won't get excited until the engine is rev up to 2500-3000 rpm. After that...they will charge all day long until you shut off the engine.
The black/orange alternator charging wire is a fusible link. The yellow ignition wire is also a fusible link.
You can also not charge if you have a bad ignition switch. The car will start and when it returns to run the switch fails, the car continues to run but the circuit for the charge system is broken.
True, thanks for straightening me out... Yes there is a fuse link connecting the alt to battery, if open battery will not receive charge...

I wouldn't even attempt to check the voltage regulator(and I've been working on this stuff almost 50 years), if it's old just replace it... As far as the switch, it's possible but if the car starts and runs OK otherwise chances are slim it's bad... You'd need a wiring diagram and then check with a ohm meter to be sure terminals are making contact in the various positions, almost as complicated as checking the regulator... Did you check the fuse link as suggested??? It's the most likely cause by a wide margin...
