Went to a local show today, to benefit the Humane Society... all kinds of dogs strutted their stuff... lookin for shade under our cars. 100 plus cars, all awesome in their own thing. We'll share photos here but need to "esplain" a few sightings.

First thing... it's a first show up / first parking spot thing... we showed up around 8:30, set you up by car and row. pulled into our spot, and next thing that came in next to us was a 65 Comet. Turns out, we were the ONLY Mav or Comet at the show, never met each other, it was not setup... and how does that happen?! There's pics of his car here with us, 64K orig miles, stock, $10k obo. Nice car.

Other pics here of a ratrod, defintely would catch your eye... had a coffee can for a steering column, Coors can for an oil filter, screw drivers for hinges, spider web custom work, bones in the bed, etc., etc... check out the pics.

Oh, and lets not forget about the MonkeysMobile... awesome! GTO custom. Check out the pics.

Also have some other pics of an older Charger and a Super B. Enjoy, we sure did!

Nice cars. Mav looks good. I saw that Monkees mobile at a George Barris show a while back. I am sure its not the same car though.

Man you mean there's more than one of those going on? First time we've seen it, too cool.

No I just ment Barris makes more than one car of any type, the Monkees car I snapped was from their East Coast collection.

Forgot to mention, the main memory today of the show... yeah, heard all the stories of "learned the drive on a Mav, my aunt had one of these., etc...)... check this out.

This man, probably 65ish, showed up... checked out the car all sides, got to the driver's side... looked in,,, and that normal look turned into a huge smile, but like he was in his own world...memories...he never talked to us... moved on...but we know he had an experience, memories. So cool.:bouncy:

Was that the one at the county complex? Looks like great show. Several members of our Mustang club were going to that show. Usually well attended. Looks like the weather was good, too.

Working at a retail job sucks where car shows are concerned. Unlesss, I take a vacation day, it is almost impossible to get off on Saturdays. Sure would have liked to have been there. Your car looks great.

Thanks all for the kudos, and glad you liked the pics... and yes, Jim, it was at the county complex... got a real good turnout, cars & folks & dogs, you need to put in for that vacation day next year. See ya next weekend at Home Depot hopefully. And, BTW Jim, took in-laws car to dealership for work and the guy there knew you, spoke of you, he also has numerous Cougars.. tried to sell us a spoiler if we wanted. And, Ken, WAKE UP, how did you miss the show :hmmm:?! LOL

    Rocky and Holly,

Doubt I will be at the Home Depot show since I will be working until 9PM. Maybe another time. That fellow would be Nigel. He is typical of old car people. You can't own just one. He has several Cougars and other classics. He recently purchased my white '69 Cougar conv that I used for 3 years as my daily driver to work. See you at Silver Springs.

    Jim
