After many, many months we finally finished the restoration on our neighbors 1973 Grabber. It was a long haul on this one, but it turned out rather nice. This was the Grabber that originally was factory white with silver stripes. It's not that color anymore, but everyone who has seen the color it is now seems to like it. It's a Ford color called Chestnut Poly and it goes great with the ginger interior. It still has a few mechanical quirks that needs to be attended to and it needs a new exhaust system installed. Once those things are done and it gets it's new tags and insurance, this bad boy will be on the road again. I wouldn't mind owning this Grabber, but I don't have to look too far to see it. It lives right next door. :)

Thanks guys. This color combination is probably the only one around here like it, which is a good thing. There's nothing wrong with being different. That's why we own Mavericks and Comets in the first place. :)We have a bunch of projects going on right now. Sad to say none of them are Mavericks. The biggest one on the board is a 1969 Chevelle with a crushed roof that needed to be replaced. This is actually a kind of special job for us. The Chevelle's owner is a former bodyman and welder who had every intention of restoring the entire car himself. Unfortunatly he was involved in two seperate accidents which left him disabled and unable to finish his own car. He can drive; just not do any of the work himself anymore. The car sat around for years before he decided it was time to get it done. So now we get the honor of finishing it for him. It will be a challenge, but we are determined to make this car everything the owner had planned for it to be. When this is done we have a 1969 Firebird coming in that is a total basketcase. That should keep us busy straight through to next spring.

That looks very nice, Great Job! What kind of work did you have to do to it to get it to look like that? I might have to contact you for my next project, your not that far from me! Ive been out your way a few times. In fact I was just at Macungire on Saturday.
Again Beautiful job and Thanks for saving another Maverick.
