I was reading some of the things about MustangII crossmember equipped Mavs and another question came to mind. What kind of headers will work? do you use Maverick/comet headers, fox platform headers or custom made? reason I ask is I want to put a MII frontend under my '70 and I have some 3/4 length fox headers that will work with my GT40P heads.

I hashed out the same situation when I did mine. It looks as if there's so much room under there that just about any header will work, but the tricky part is the driver's side where the steering shaft is. A friend of mine has a Mav with M2 and he uses late 70's van headers, and they look as if they were made for it. It's a 351w w/ Brodix inline-valve heads if that makes any difference.

I used Stahl headers, but they won't work on the street. Low to the ground, no place for pipes, and they're fenderwell headers that go out over the frame rails. Easy to put on, though:)
