I am looking to get new seat belts for my 70. I just want to make sure they fit me right before ordering i am 6'1 and do not want them cutting into my neck or anything like that. At the same time my wife is 4'11 and I don't want it cutting into her neck or head either. lol So can anyone recommend a style that will adjust to fit us both?

Stay with lap belts and no worries.

This is for my 72, but I suspect your car is the same ... seperate shoulder belt that gets stored above the door?

I got drop arms out of a mid-90s Ford van, so that the top anchor point isn't so high. I did test it out with the seat in place, and it seems fine for 6'1" me and my 5'4" wife.

Bought retractable 3 point belts off eBay. The retractor will have to be disassembled to thread the belt through the loop, but it doesn't look too bad... just have to have it wound up while reassembling it.

That looks like it will work pretty good. I'll have to try that thank you.

Andover Restraints (andoauto.com) has the belts I got for my car. They come with an 8" extension from the upper mount point. They fit me fine, but I am 6'2" tall. Check them out.
