Looking to get new wheels and tires for my '71 maverick that I just put new suspension, front disc, and rear end in. All springs are new so it should ride higher than the saggy ones before. I will be going with Cragar SS wheels. I don't want to roll the fenders. Will this fit?

    Front
    15X7 4" backspacing - 215 60s
    Rear
    15x8 4.25 backspacing - 245 60s

I want a little bit of the drag race stink bug look but still be streetable. I like the higher profile tires in the rear to fill out the wheel well. I am open to other tire combination suggestions anyone may have. Thanks!

yes, they should fit, about the same size as the keystones I had on mine.

When I put Granada disc spindles up front swapping from drums to discs on my 72, my front end raised up at least an inch... I had it all taken apart and cut a full coil off the springs; perfect stance now. I doubt the olds springs had "sagged" imo. Just a thought..

i think the rear back spacing is better with a 4" or even a 3.75 back spacing. that gets the tire really close to centered between the inner and outer rub points.

Yeah. This is what I am afraid of...get it all put back together just to find out it sits too high in the front and have to tear it all down again. Would you suggest a 225 series tire? Would a 235 fit?

    Update

Thanks everybody. Just got these installed and 55 CrownVic and Crazy Larry were right on. They are perfect. There is about 1/2" to the leaf springs and about the same to the fender. Both front and rear have the same distance from the fender to the top of the tire. I'll see if I can post some pics. For anyone searching tire sizes and wheel combos I would highly recommend this setup.
