May try building ours for the FAST series, but it has to run a production intake for that year. Does anyone know of any "dealer special" package Mavericks... anything high performance? The cars have to be very production based, but internal mods are pretty much anything goes as long as it appears and sounds correct.

    Only 1968 Mustangs had a 4V 302 ...

    nope

The class mandates that the car has to have been available with a 4 barrel to be allowed in the series... so I guess we are out with the Maverick

Can you run dealer options in the FAST series? I know you cannot in the Pure Stock circuit. If you can, you can always call it a Mod Maverick and even run it with a 351W. Can you use options made out of country? Did the Brazilian Mavericks have 4 barrels?

    rules

    Here is what they say:

F.A.S.T. racing is for 1955 to 1974 muscle cars built in United States and Canadian assembly plants. Factory lightweight cars built for sanctioned drag racing and dealership built/modified cars are not eligible to participate. Cars must have been originally equipped with a minimum of four-barrel carburetion, dual exhaust, and other factory installed equipment that promotes a high performance image.
NOTE: Throughout this rules document, all references to “correct*” acknowledge that it is “proper for the year, make, model and horsepower claimed, for both the car and engine claimed. The car year, make, model, body style and engine combination must all have been produced and available to the general public in the year claimed, in an actual car.”

By those rules, the Mav is out on 2 counts...
    Never had a 4v carb.
    Never had dual exhaust.
