Any body ever seen this steering wheel

Any body ever seen this steering wheel. I have seen this wheel with a hard plastic rim but this one looks to be factory padded?

 

factory leather wrapped steering wheel..... really hard to find IMO

yeah, all of the wheels that style will have the same center but the leather wrapped ones are obviously different. that's only the second one that ive seen..

 

My '76 has one just like that in blue. A little worse for its age now unfortunately.

 

That does appear to be the leather wrapped
wheel available in the later years. Is that a '74?

The difference in these wheels other than the
leather wrap is there is no texture grips in the
lower section of the wheel. It should be smooth
under the leather wrap.

 

I have one in Orange!!!

 

It's a 1973 Maverick.

 

First year

I think '73 may be the first year that they were available. I have
never seen them on '72 or earlier cars.

Never seen one on a Mav/Comet, but have seen them on LTD's and pickups with the leather wrap.
