you are in a you get what you pay for situation. the bottom shocks are a cheaper shock. it will have a softer ride and will get softer faster
I have the KYB-343136 GR2, they are a stock replacement style shock. Nothing to write home about a far as performance. They are better than worn out shocks though. They do what a they suppose to do on a street car by keeping the tire from acting like a basketball when hitting a bump on the road.
i see. i just want to replace these airshocks that are on here. i might go for a smoother ride. more comfortable
Just go to autozone, NAPA, or o'reilly, and ask for the shock for the 71 comet. They will give you monroes that are just fine, if you aren't drag racing or doing anything that the car was not designed to do. Will only cost you $30-50 bucks for the pair, if that. I have been running a pair of Monroes for several years now with no problems. But definitely get rid of those air shocks. Lots of bad stories about them on our cars.
calvert racing suspension.com have racing shocks i have there split leaft set up with 5 way adjustable shocks for the rear and 90/10 drags for the front.
