This is a Hooker header with 1 5/8" tubes. It is listed as a 351w header. It looks like a 6901 with slightly longer/tighter tubes. It is NOT listed as an engine swap header, HOWEVER, most of the applications that it lists are 351ws in cars that never came with a 351w... ???? The thing that gets me is that it is list for a Falcon with a 351w. All of this together gets me thinking that it MIGHT be a good candidate for trying in a Mav. Anyone know anything about the Hooker 6116??? I know it's not a big tube alternative for the 351 swap, but it is better than either taking a sledge to your car and new 6901s or settling for 1.5" primarys. That is assuming it is a better fit with the 351w. Just a thought. Dave
Yeah, I knew what they are listed for. They are also listed for a Falcon. That is what caught my eye. The Falcon engine bay is close in size to ours... I was hoping someone had actually tried a set on our cars. There is another part number that is for Fairlanes 65 and earlier. They have a tight engine bay too. The tubes on that one (both sides) tuck 3 tubes super tight to the block, and the 4th goes back over the other 3. Looks like it would be almost against the bottom of the valve cover. The other thing about this one is that the tubes all travel downward before the bellhousing. Mustang headers, especially the 351w, sweep back to the firewall further than our engine bay will allow. I think the number on that one is 6134??? Dave
The 66 and up Falcons had the same engine bay as a 66-67 Fairlane, and the early Torinos, its quite a bit bigger than a Maverick, I had a 66 Falcon Ranchero
