I've been rebuilding a 1976 4-door Maverick, and I'd like to replace all the side trim... does anyone know of a place where you can order that? Thanks in advance.
Well sorry to say, you'll have to scrounge it up from parts cars/NOS parts. Practically nothing for Maverick are reproduced today. Good luck. -Corbin
My esteemed colleague from California is correct. You need to try to either save what you have by buffing them with a buffing wheel, or look for decent used trim. NOS trim is very rare for these cars. Is your existing trim all that bad that they cannot be buffed and saved? I've made several worn pieces look pretty nice by careful use of a buffing wheel and rouge.
One word buddy: EBAY. Really one of the best places to find Maverick parts, especially if you're located in an area where there aren't any in the junkyards.
E-bay would be got if i had a creait card but i dont so i am very limited to were i can get the mave parts. I would be go if someone could get them for me from ebay and than i'll pay them what they want or i'll send the money ahead of time
Chrome trim NOS I have one drivers door NOS trim strip in the package for a four door, $20 plus shipping if interested. - J
You never specified exactly which chrome trim pieces you needed so we could try to help you. Are you talking the LDO side panel trim that had a vinyl insert? The trim on the doors around the windows? The "swooshes" behind the rear side windows of the 2 doors? Try to be a bit descriptive so we can help you.
