Anyone running a AOD with the wide ratio gear kit installed?
I've been reading up on this and how it converts the AOD to a 4R70W ratio. So naturally this brings up some questions. First off, would this work for our year range of cars? Since it seems the later year transmissions that used this worked with electronic solenoids and pcm modules. Is there a type of governor to worry about for the change in shift points for a wide ratio? I assume that there would be adjustments to the valve body?

    Thanks

The ratio change is done by putting the gear train from the 4R70W into the AOD case. It doesn't use the electronics - it still uses the AOD valve body.
You get the wide OD band, the steel clutch drums and the wide ratio gearset. It make a better aOD.
