AOD swap question

    I've been noticing that most of the AOD swaps I've looked at on here say that they turned the shift arm (down at the valve body) 180 degrees. What is the reason for doing this? Is it to hook up to a floor shifter more easily? I'm getting ready to do the swap and will be installing a stage 2 valve body at the same time. Don't want to have to do it twice.:hmmm:
