A friend of mine bought a 1980's roller 302 that has an AOD Tranny attached to it. The guy he got it from says it works. He does not want it. How much is it worth assuming it works? Will it bolt up to my 1974 non roller 302?

I edited this post because it got way off track because of me and Scott, But How much is an AOD worth? I want to make an offer

It'll bolt up, you'll need the engine plate (thin metal plate) and one of Frank's cross members, as for price???? Did they have roller motors in 1980?? And the proper flywheel, I almost forgot.

He said 1980's so I do not exactly know which year. I edited my original post.

What do you mean one of Frank's cross member's? Does he make them or something?

Ed, Sorry, I had the "thin metal plate" that tied that block up to the AOD, but I tossed it after you took the block...

Should be easy to find in any yard, anything with a 302 and AOD.

It looks alot like the 302 "thin metal plate" only it has one extra hole, pretty good sized hole at that. Not sure what lines up in it.

No worries Scott. However, you should know that any die hard Mavericker does not throw away parts

That FREE block you gave me is sitting on the stand. See!!!! you know how to not throw away:thumbs2:. In order to form a habit you must repeat behavior something like 20 times. What else do you have that you are tempted to throw away that someone can use?

I am getting ready to start the build. Thanks for the block.

Got a cam sitting here...not the one that ate out a lobe, another one...

Plus a set of roller lifters, a couple of front turn signal lights, lots of chrome window trim, a drive shaft, and tomorrow I will have an extra 8" rear housing....

Lots of spark plug wires, a front valence, front bumper from a 2004+ dodge truck, etc. The damned attic is QUITE FULL!!!

I bought an AOD core for $35. Robert said it may work but I plan on having him rebuild it before I use it.

You mean a Financial Advisor to a psychologist (I would rather be whooped daily than be an accountant) I read somewhere that Psychologist are terrible at diagnosing there own behavior. I just thought I would help Scott.
