I have an authentic 72 Grabber but prior owner(s) had some trash mirrors and covered up the holes. I can't be tasked with grinding all this filler off just to find the holes right now. Can someone provide a hole location or even just the edge of the base location from say the front crease of the door?

3/4 inch to center of hole below crease. 13 1/2 inches to the center of first hole to front edge of door along bottom crease. This is on a 71 comet with sport mirrors

Well, we've seen three different locations for factory installed mirrors.

I know of only two. The 1970 Grabber location, and the '71-'77 location.
I wish Ford would have just stayed with the 1970 location (further forward). It looks better and is more practical...
