Was at the junkyard today and was checking out an '85 Bronco they just hauled in. The rear arm rests look identical to 70-72 Maverick/Comet arm rests. Anyone know if they will the actually interchange?
They are black Earl. Looked to be in pretty good shape. I can go back and get them tomarrow and give them to you Saturday if you want them. Should be able to get them for under $10. You don't want them, I'll just put them in my car. Good to know there is a newer much more plentiful source to get them. Guess thats another part I will start snatching up every time I see them.
Jamie; thanks. Are you coming down this way on Saturday? If so, let me know where to meet you. Thanks, Earl
I believe we are going to work on the '77, but not positive on that. All I know is I gotta be at Terry's by 8 A.M. tomarrow morning. Not sure I if I will drive the Maverick or not, still haveing on and off wheel bearing problems. I need to get a new hub for the passenger side.
Finnally had time to get back up to Pull-A-Part this morning and get them. They were pretty nasty, but hot soapy water and some 409 fixed that. Whoever had that Bronco must have smoked. They have the same 1970 part number as the original Maverick arm rests. Got them for $3.50 a piece.
Ahh, would have just waited for the next Bronco to come through. Usually a couple of new ones a month.
