Don called me out . . . I went 17.7 only cause I sput the tires at 80mph and then 15.7 at 88mph. It's hard changing gears fast. The first time I spun a lot. The second race I was in 2nd gear for too long so lost some power. But it's SOOOO much fun with stick. No nitrous this time around. I had a small nail in the rear left tire so only did 2 passes.

Mo, when I had a stickshift fox Mustang, I went to Qualcomm and got in about 14 passes. It takes quite alot of practice to shift a street car right and to get the launch and shifting down, but the repetition really helps. At Qualcomm you can get a lot of passes. My times just kept dropping with more practice. I would just go off of how it feels for the shifting, then later maybe add a shift light. I'll be trying soon with my Comet and the 4-speed, so maybe we can go racing together at Qualcomm or Barona.

Not too bad with a stick. You should keep seeing improvement with practice. What tires are you running?:)

regular old street tires, that's probably why I had traction problems. time for drag radials probably. which means new rims. I doubt I can drive around on drag radials for too long.

I wondered about the tires. You should be running a lot quicker if you can get some traction. :)
