Anybody have one? I installed one in my 77 and it is the noisiest think I've ever heard when cornering at low speeds. I have a Detroit locker in my Sprint and it is no where near as noisy as the Auburn. I used a grease designed for Limited slip rears. Just wondering what your experience is if you have one.

?? I had an Auburn in my 90 Mustang (8.8"). No noise.

I'm assuming the clearances were carefully measured (ie., only 5 hard blows with a 10lb sledge).

Personally, those types of sounds remind me I'm driving a modified 'Amurican' made street car and it doesn't bother me.

Kinda like hearing the rumble of your own exhaust - annoying to others - but when it's your foot controlling the tone, it doesn't seem so bad.

    just my 02.

I thought they were supposed to be quite. I was thinking that maby I got the wrong fluid in there. I got it set up with 3:55 gears for free so I'm not gonna comlplain too much, but if I can quiet it down some, I would sure do it. My friend bought it from Perogie as a bolt in deal. Supposily its all new parts and hopefully set up correctly. He only used it for a few months, then switched to a 9".

YEs the auburn pro diffs are noisy. Mine has been since I got it and I hear alot of people say theres are too. It dosn't bother me, I can barely hear it over the two chamber flowmasters.
