im just curious. im running a 400m in my car now. im looking at getting bare block aussie 302 heads because thats all i can find in those heads. anyone know where i can find factory specs or should i look at building them up some. this will be somewhat of my daily driver for a while.

I used these heads to make my street boss 302. In retrospect I could have bought a set of edelbrock cleveland heads. I spent around 1500 to get these heads fixed up. base price plus, Ferra valves 207/165, harden exhaust seats, crane springs, machined for snap on valve seals, machined for screw in studs.

another thing to keep in mind is that with the small-ish chambers, if you run aftermarket pistons set up for the larger 400 chambers, you'll have a lot more compression than pump gas might agree with...

Check with Tim,,,, He did have aussie heads. GREAT guy to deal with and I think a must check with him if you wanna make power on the 400 plus cubes. On his web site he shows different project engines he has done,,, I bought the 396 horsepower 400. Love the engine,,,, lots of projects and am willing to sell, app 1,000 miles on engine. But check with Tim on your cool project,,,
