    Trans linkage

The rod that connects to the steering column lever goes on the trans lever that shifts into gear. The other rod from the carb assy. is the kickdown for passing gear etc. goes on the trans lever that is next to the shifter lever. The small spring hooks to it and into a small hole in the cars frame in the direction of the front tire etc. It holds the kickdown lever foward when in normal drive position. If it is not hooked up, the trans has a tendency to not shift out of 2nd gear(passing gear or kickdown gear). Hope this helps.:)
