I know several people have done this and I read a dozen articles on it. Can anyone tell me though how to convert a late model T5 bellhousing to accept a mechanical linkage clutch, or how I could convert the mechanical pedal assembly to work with a cable activated clutch?
    Thanx

I looked it over about 6 months ago because I was thinking of going the same route. I could find no way to convert to cable. The linkage must pull the inner cable which is the opposite of what it does now. The conversions for Mustangs wont work because we don't have the clearance up under the dash for them. I think the easiest route would be to go with the hydraulic clutch kits that are on the market now. If I ever convert my 77, this is the way I will go.

I am working on the cable conversion now. I will let you know if my plan works.

here is a website where I found out how to keep the mechanical linkage. I'm running into some problems though finding the fulcrum style clutch fork that will work.
