i got the mega shifter and trying to install it to my c4 tranny. regarding the nuetral safty switch,

on the instructions: STEP 15, it says to disconnect the switch at the factory plug and discard it.

so is my new saftey switch the 2 that are attached on the new shifter? and where do i get the wires to connect them to the switch? 1 back up light and the other one is the nuetral switch

I think what I did was take the wire that signals the solenoid and went through the switch.. I don't think I actually discarded anything lol

that was the ONLY part i couldn't figure out myself..during that i ended up breaking the new switches on the side of the shifter so i ended up using the stock one, works fine for me. so you could do that or wait for someone else to chime in about how they did there own.

where are the wires coming from that goes to the switch? are those wires directly connected to the b&m switches?

cause when i bought the car, it was already disconnected.

Mine are on the bottom of the column.. If I recall, now that I think about it, I ran new wires. I found the start wire under the column and ran it to the switch then to the solenoid. Been awhile..

Do you have a column shift car? If so then you may have the factory neutral safety at the bottom of the column like I did.. I think there is another option to all this. I thought I seen a NSW that you can bolt to the shifter selector and it made it easy and safer.. I can help look for that if intrested.. Otherwise it's a matter of locating and switching wires around which is no biggie, just need a test light and time maybe some new wire..

It's a floor shifter, and I don't see any wires in the carpet when I was installing the shifter

Yes - you need to use the switches on the shifter - the wires have to be the same ones that went to the old switch.
